Center for Restorative Surgery at Maple Grove is the first ambulatory surgery center in the United States to be awarded the Certificate of Distinction in the Management of Spine Surgery by the Joint Commission. Our facility hosts three spine surgeons: Dr. Hamid Abbasi, Dr. Daniel Hanson, and Dr. Sunny Kim. We specialize in the OLLIF procedure (Oblique Lateral Lumbar Interbody Fusion), minimally invasive discectomies and laminectomies, artificial disc replacements, Anterior Cervical Discectomy Fusions, and Endoscopic Spine Surgery.
lnterventional Pain Management
Dr. Mark Janiga and Dr. Matthew Thorson are our lnterventional Pain Specialists. Their fortes comprise of pain injections, spinal cord stimulators, pain pumps and radiofrequency neuroablations.
Our surgery center hosts five Urologists: Dr. Gregory Hanson, Dr. Dean Tortorelis, Dr. David Streitz, Dr. Joseph Cerny and Dr. Karl Kemberling. Their areas of expertise include vasectomies, circumcisions and hydrocelectomies. Also, a wide range of cystoscopy, which includes laser stone removal, placement and removal of stents, bladder biopsy, bladder tumor removal and prostate tumor removal.
Dr. Troy Hemme is our ENT specialist. He performs an extensive list of ear, nose and throat procedures. He specializes in the Optical Tracking System for sinus surgery. He also performs balloon sinuplasty, septoplasty, turbinate removal, tonsillectomies, adenoidectomies, and myringotomies with tube placement
Dr. Jeffery Nipper is the center’s Orthopedic surgeon. At the Center for Restorative Surgery at Maple Grove, Dr. Nipper’s primary specialty is arthroscopic surgery, which includes shoulder and knee arthroscopies, ACL reconstruction and MPFL reconstruction. He also does many other general orthopedic surgeries such as carpal tunnel release and open reduction internal fixation of fractures.
